Misconceptions About Stay At Home Moms
If I had a dollar each time I seen a post on social media or heard from another person asking “what stay at home moms do all day?” I would be richhhhh! I cannot believe we are still asking this in 2019 as if people are truly clueless to what amazing mothers do daily. This blog is about the misconceptions about us stay at home moms and I came to set the record straight.
What is a stay at home mom (SAHM)?
A stay at home mom is someone that stays home with their child/children to raise and help manage the household. She may have just one or multiple children ranging from newborn to teenage years. There’s a chance she had an education and left a workplace to stay home with her babies.

Ha! So, how do children get clothes on, fed, get outside play, school work done, lunch, and naps in if we NOTHING all day. No where in that sentence I mentioned anything about us doing anything for ourselves. Sometimes I wish I could do the nothing everyone thinks about. It’s called stay at home, but we are running kids from left to right to go to practices, store, school, and appointments. Sometimes my time is limited as to how often we maybe at home. Then when we are home we are so busy trying to keep the house ran properly and clean.
We just don’t want to work..
There’s so many reasons why a parent would stay at home. In that case you’ll have to ask every family, because there’s so many different situations. And to be honest, I am more stressed now than when I was working 40 hours 7 days a week.
The financial aspect of going to work only to pay daycare expenses, traveling, and gas leaving yourself with only $100-200 for bills. It wasn’t worth it in the end for my fa
Let’s just say a 24/7 job
Rather it’s a working mom or stay at home mom, being a mom is a 24/7 job. Period. This is the only job that you get paid in kisses, laughs, and giggles. How amazing is that? I love my job!
